biography
Phil Cuttance is a designer based in London, UK. From New Zealand, he studied design in Wellington NZ and then worked as a designer for some of NZ’s foremost furniture companies. His objects aim to surprise and provoke, crossing boundaries of genre, material and taste. While his designs are intended for production, Cuttance constructs all the prototypes from scratch, and values the hands-on creation process as a source of ideas and knowledge. He has exhibited at Milan’s Salone Satellite
in 2006, 2007 and 2009. |
